It’s time for one of the biggest weekends of the season outside of Vegas or Columbus. That’s right – it’s time for annual midseason power summit at the Pittsburgh Pro this Friday and Saturday.
It’s not just the guest posers, although there will be plenty of excitement when they hit the stage on Saturday night. Mr. Olympia Phil Heath, four-time Mr. Olympia Jay Cutler, 2008 Mr. Olympia Dexter Jackson, two-time Arnold Classic champ Kai Greene and two-time, reigning Arnold Classic champ Branch Warren all will be on hand – as will up-and-comers Steve Kuclo and Seth Feroce – starting with the annual GNC store appearances on Friday. If you’re in the Pittsburgh area, you won’t want to miss this one.
In the official IFBB Pro League divisions, some of the best figure, bikini and fitness competitors in the world will compete, led by 2012 Bikini International runner-up India Paulino. She’ll have to knock off reigning champ Jamie Baird, who returns to defend the title she won a year ago.
In Figure, Candice John and Ann Titone – two of the top three from last week’s Europa Show of Champions – come to Pittsburgh looking for the first win of their respective careers. 2011 Europa Battle of Champions winner Gennifer Strobo, who placed fourth in Pittsburgh last year, has her sights set on the second pro win of her career.
Combined with the NPC portion of the contest, over 300 competitors are expected to take the stage at Soldiers and Sailors Hall.
